RA Summer Exhibition 2011

I was pleased to find that Tess Jaray had chosen one of the 'Silent Kingdom' paintings to hang in her gallery for this year’s exhibition at the Royal Academy. About her selection she says: ‘This is a room only for people who are sensitive, intelligent and thoughtful. No one else will enjoy it: the works are delicate, subtle and rich’. Therefore to be included alongside other painters I know and admire – Tim Hyman, Basil Beattie, Ian McKeever, Melanie Comber and Tim Allen – in the same space is both encouraging and gratifying.
